This is a vintage Case Muskrat pattern pocket knife. The knife is 3-7/8 closed with nickel silver liners and pinned oval CASE shield. The blade steel is CV (carbon) steel. Both blades have strong snap. Both blades are tight with no side-to-side wobble. The handles are red bone with great color. The front handle has a fine, very faint hairline from the end of the shield through the upper handle pin.
The back handle has a fine, very faint hairline from the lower handle pin to the bottom bolster. The blades are mint - never sharpened, carried, or cleaned, original factory blade finish and edges. Calling the knife near mint only due to the fine hairlines as described above.
